These pictures don’t really fit into my photo of the week category (mainly because it’s more than one photo), but they are of some interesting phenomena that I just had to share. The first pictures are of some caterpillars that overran everything at Minnehaha Falls; I’d never seen so many caterpillars at one time. The second set of pictures is maybe even more unique. The cottonwood trees have really spread their seed this year—it was truly like a snow storm with drifts of fluffy white stuff covering the ground.
