Photographing Sarah and Vic’s wedding was a lot of fun. It was a hot and steamy day (so much so that my camera lens fogged up when we left the reception), but they were great sports as we trekked through downtown Minneapolis for some last pictures. I always love it when I get to do some special portraits with the bride and groom alone, and I know it is memorable for them too. The other fun thing from this wedding was doing my first PhotoBooth (which you can read about by clicking here).
The Bark at Art poster opening was a great event, and I had a lot of fun manning the PhotoBooth, seeing all the pets, and seeing the different posters. It was a beautiful evening, and this is what the subjects saw as they clicked their pictures (see all the photos from the event by clicking here):

To reserve your session, you’ll pay the $100 session fee (normally $150) and $200 deposit. Weekday sessions can be at any location within 20 miles of Minneapolis. Or if you would like a weekend session, choose your location and date below:

I’ve had my photography published on the cover of my first magazine: America’s Pharmacist. I know it’s not National Geographic or TIME, but I still think it’s pretty cool. Here is the cover shot and the accompanying article. All of the photos are mine except the picture of the old pharmacy.

I have done a PhotoBooth before at my old studio (see the pictures here: Part 1 and Part 2), but I had not done one at an actual event yet. Here is a time-lapse video of the PhotoBooth we set up at Sarah and Victor’s wedding using a professional camera and studio lighting. As most of you know, I love photography. But I also really like cinematography, and now that digital SLRs can take video there are interesting possibilities where video and still photos meet. I will be writing more about this in the future, but one of the most interesting techniques is cinemagraphs (which remind me of the moving photos in Harry Potter), because they are more photograph than movie.

Now is the time to go out and see the flowers at the Peace Garden near Lake Harriet. Or any of the great public gardens, really. They are beautiful!
