This time a photo taken with my iPhone 4s (“Spoon Bridge and Cherry”) was selected as one of the judge’s favorite photos. I have been very pleased with the quality of the photos my iPhone takes, and often use it for this type of photography. You can see the original link here.

Below is my second contribution to The Art House Co-op. It is for “The Photo Response Project,” wherein 1000 artists were asked to make a visual response to one of five photos. The exhibition will explore each photograph and its responses.
The photo I responded to is this:
And here is my response, which I took with my iPhone 4s using the Camera Awesome app:
Today I made my first contribution to The Art House Co-op, for a project called “The Meal.” Basically, there is going to be an exhibition of self portraits of people and their meal from February 24th at 12 pm EST. According to the website, there were over 4400 contributors to this project, which will be exhibited in Brooklyn, NY and made available online starting April 5th.
My meal was a breakfast quesadilla, and Toby was eating his dog food.
I was recently informed that the following photograph I took at the Lutsen Resort was selected to be displayed in the Superior Ballroom. I had submitted it for a contest earlier in the year, and I am excited to see it the next time we visit Minnesota’s North Shore.
UPDATE: I also found out that they used a picture of the wedding party skipping rocks that I photographed in their current brochure! Here is a photo of it that I just took with my iPhone.
We had a pretty awesome storm come through last night that dropped hail bigger than golfballs. My fine art photo of the week is of the approaching thunderhead that dropped hailed on us—just look at the vertical thrust of it!
