Ever since I fell in love with photography as a high school sophomore, it has been my dream to have a photo published in National Geographic magazine. I took this self portrait with my wife Lisa in Arizona when we visited my grandma in 2009. We both love stargazing, because it reminds us of our first date watching the Leonid meteorite shower. This picture also reminds me of Van Gogh’s Starry Night and other nocturnal paintings. Thank you for voting!
